Also coming up soon on BBC Radio 4 is ‘Lebanon the Next Generation’ – it’s 20 years since John Mccarthy went to Beirut, in this documentary and in light of recent events, he returns to gauge the attitude of the young people of Lebanon.

Happy New Year!
It was a busy run up to Christmas at Whistledown Studios! The 16th series of Questions Questions kicked off on Christmas Eve, for BBC Radio 4. We’ve got a new series called Vox Project listen out for some weird and wonderful audio in this programme! We’ve another poetry documentary from Charlotte Austin called ‘Consorting With Angels’, a tribute to the life and work of Anne Sexton, which can be heard on Radio 4 on January 17th at 16:30.
We had John Waite in the studio to record his presenter script for ‘Here We Come’ a documentary about The Monkees. Another UK Confidential was mixed in the studio and we’ve had clients a plenty passing through the doors, with all sorts of jobs, like charity DVD narration for the Red Cross, presenter links for programmes across the BBC Radio spectrum, voice over demos, and podcasts by the bucket load.
So if you’ve got a project you’d like to record or mix with us, do drop us a line.

We’ve got oodles of programmes coming out in the next few weeks. Keep your ears out for A Funny Sort Of Sound Radio 4 Saturday 27th June on BBC Radio 4, where former singing telegram Julian Clary takes a personal look at this rather strange musical genre. He’ll be examining the comedy potential in a multitude of instruments from a child’s recorder to the triangle; and speaking to his all time favourite performers along the way. Finding out how serious musicians deal with this particular type of celebrity and what it takes to turn a novelty act into an art.
Listen out too for The Grand Masquerade on BBC Radio 4. Where John O’Farrell reflects back on the mayhem when tens of thousands of people from across the world were caught up in the search for a jewel encrusted golden hare buried somewhere in the British countryside.
And it’s the return of Questions Questions, we’ll be solving more mind bogglers as Stewart Henderson heads out on search of the answers to your Questions Questions. If you’ve got a puzzler that you’d like to challenge Stewart and the team with post it on the message board at http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio4/factual/questionsquestions.shtml

Whistledown have just finished producing a 4 part CD series called Tales From The Dressing Room presented by Johnathan Agnew for the BBC. Agnew introduces a new collection of anecdotes and reflections from some of the best-loved characters of Ashes cricket: Mike Gatting, Tony Greig, Ian Botham, Derek Randall, Dennis Lillee, Geoff Lawson, Merv Hughes, Shane Warne and many more. Bitter rivalries, slogging and sledging; some of the greatest players from both England and Australia remember the classic encounters from over 50 years of Ashes history. Reflections from the dressing room include the pranks and the insults, as well as tales of angry fast bowlers, over-amorous fans and fancy dress parties.
